CrimeaPRESS reports:
The «University Shifts» for schoolchildren from the Kherson region have ended at the Crimean Federal University named after V. I. Vernadsky. More than 80 schoolchildren took part in the second round of the educational and tourist program, and the program united more than 150 people in total.
«University shifts» took place at the Children’s Health Camp named after Yuri Gagarin in Yevpatoriya.
We organize the arrival of children from new territories to Crimea for health improvement and development. The educational program was prepared by the faculty of our university. It combines aspects of education, tourism and enlightenment. The participants of the shift get acquainted with the history and culture of Crimea and the Russian Federation. Here they can also self-determination and socialization, choose their future profession— the university press service quotes Natalia Karmazina, Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Activities at KFU named after V. I. Vernadsky.
During the shift, schoolchildren were immersed in the educational program from university teachers and lecturers of the Russian Society «Knowledge». At the thematic day, participants were introduced to the «Movement of the First». The cycle of educational classes «Start in the Profession» combined pedagogy, medicine, agricultural technology and tourism, and the supra-professional block was dedicated to teamwork, development of flexible skills and leadership qualities. During interactive games and quests, schoolchildren were able to learn more about the leading professions on the peninsula and promising areas in the labor market. Also, university specialists told the program participants about the history and achievements of the Crimean Federal University, priority areas of training at the university and student life. In addition, guests from the Kherson region were able to consolidate the acquired skills in practice.
Now I have finished the ninth grade and am considering the possibility of entering the college of the Crimean Federal University. I am still deciding on the direction of study, because I cannot accurately assess my strengths and capabilities. I want to take tests and attend lectures from university teachers to make a final decision. I really want to make friends and like-minded people during this shift, with whom we will continue to communicate in the future and will enter the same direction together. I am attracted to the tourism industry, as well as publishing. I want to bring good to other people and share useful information. Crimea has very positive sunny residents, the most comfortable and bright energy emanates from them. And the nature of the peninsula fascinates me very much, I love the Crimean mountains and forestsnotes Elizaveta Kuratova, a participant in the “University Shifts”.
Following the results, all participants received certificates. The university is implementing the program jointly with the «Movement of the First» and the regional branch of the Russian Society «Knowledge» in the Republic of Crimea.
