More than 16 tons of raspberries are going to be harvested in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Raspberries grown by agricultural firms and peasant (farm) enterprises of the region began to arrive on the shelves of the markets and retail chains of Sevastopol. The largest supplier is Dobrobut-Invest Plus. The development of the agricultural company is facilitated by the support of the Government of Sevastopol. Since 2016 the company has received subsidies totaling 13,3 million rubles.
Interaction with the Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market of Sevastopol has a positive effect on the development of the enterprise, and also ensures its financial stability , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Elena Donetskskaya, director of the agricultural company.
With the involvement of state support funds, agrarians purchased berry seedlings, equipment, including a mini-tractor, equipped a greenhouse and installed a drip irrigation system.
Yulia Kurbatova, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market, today supervised the harvest at the berry fields of the enterprise in the village of Rodnoe.
In 2021 year, 4.3 tons of raspberries were harvested from berry fields with a total area of 5 hectares. This year it is planned to collect at least 5 tons. Now the farm collects raspberries of the Brusilovsky Standard and Joan G varieties — such raspberries are stored for about five days , — says Yulia Kurbatova.
She added that the Government of Sevastopol will continue to provide state support to enterprises in the crop industry. According to Yulia Kurbatova, the creation of new peasant (farm) farms, as well as the support of existing ones, are necessary both for the development of the rural areas of the region and for providing residents and guests of Sevastopol with fruit and berry products of their own production.
Moreover, the weather conditions in our region are perfect for this , — says the deputy director of the relevant department.
In total, 5 46 hectares of raspberries are planted in Sevastopol. In 2022 year it is planned to harvest at least 16, tons of berries.
