More than 170 Crimeans submitted applications to participate in the country’s main tourism competition “Masters of Hospitality”

The results of the application campaign for the fourth season of the competition have been summed up «Masters of Hospitality» presidential platform “Russia is a land of opportunity”. 171 residents of the Republic of Crimea decided to try their hand at the country’s main tourism competition and get the opportunity to express themselves, implement their tourism project, and become part of the large-scale community of the Russian hospitality industry.

The “Masters of Hospitality” project is being implemented within the framework of the “Social Elevators for Everyone” program of the national project “Education” and is aimed at supporting specialists in the hospitality industry and caring youth starting their journey in tourism. The project provides opportunities to unlock the potential of participants, train them, exchange experiences, undergo a mentoring program from tourism industry leaders, as well as promote tourism projects among employers and industry organizations.

Residents of the Republic of Crimea have been actively participating in the “Masters of Hospitality” project since 2019. 1,596 residents of the region took part in the first three seasons, 14 people became finalists and four were declared winners of the country’s main tourism competition. More than 30 regions of Russia have become centers of hospitality, one of them is the Republic of Crimea, which hosted the semi-finalists of the first season of the competition in Yalta.

In the new fourth season of the competition, the contestants try their hand at two things “Hospitality Industry Managers” for middle and senior managers of organizations in the field of tourism and “Breakthrough ideas in tourism” for representatives of different fields with their own ideas or running projects that suit the customer’s request. Registration was available to adult residents of Russia and foreign countries.

The customers of the nominations are the partners of the “Masters of Hospitality” project: the international wine and gastronomic center, Alliance Hotel Management, tourist service RUSSPASS, Roszapovedtsentr of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, SWISSAM University, Baltic Federal University. I. Kanta, DATAUNIVERS LLC, Territory.rf, Mantera group and other companies and organizations.

To become the winner of the country’s main tourism competition, participants will have to go through several stages: a remote block (February-March), in-person semi-finals (April-May) and the final of the competition (September) in different cities of Russia. In the first stage, masters must solve a series of tests (to test general knowledge, communication skills and verbal intelligence), and tasks in the following areas: industry cases for industry managers and online presentation of original projects in the field of tourism. The most successful participants will go to in-person events, where they will be assessed for professional knowledge and soft skills and get to know customers personally. The fourth season will end with a big finale. The dates of the in-person stages and the regions where the events will be held will be announced by the organizers in the near future.
