More than 176 thousand tons of soil contaminated with fuel oil were collected in the Crimea and in the Kuban

In total, more than 176 thousand tons of polluted soil have been collected from the beginning of the work. From the coastline of the Republic of Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory and the city of Sevastopol, about 135 thousand tons were taken to a temporary storage site, — said in the department.
Specialized organizations are cleaning the collected sand. In the Krasnodar Territory, almost 10.5 thousand tons of sand are cleaned with the help of a vibration installation.
Every day for new emissions, the coast of Crimea and the Kuban with a length of almost 1 thousand km is examined. In this work, 463 groups of rescuers and volunteers are involved.
