More than 18 thousand crimes were registered in Crimea in ten months of this year.

Over the 10 months of 2023, 18.3 thousand crimes were registered in Crimea. The nationwide detection rate is 70.8%. This data is provided by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
There is a decrease in the number of crimes in public places (-8.4%), including on the streets, squares, parks, squares (-12%), as well as those committed under the influence of alcohol (-2.5%), drugs and toxic substances (-32.8%) intoxication.
The number of murders (-11.9%) and cases of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of victims (-29.4%) decreased.
Law enforcement agencies identified 2.1 thousand crimes in the field of drug trafficking, including 1.2 thousand facts of their sale. The detection rate for these crimes was 68.4%, and for sales – 45%.
In Crimea, 9.7 thousand crimes against property were registered, the detection rate of which was 58.8%. It should be noted that on the territory of the Republic the number of registered thefts (-18.4%), robberies (-14.4%) and robberies (-9.7%) decreasedthe Crimean prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
The number of crimes related to traffic violations decreased by 32.4% (from 333 to 225), including those resulting in the death of the victim through negligence — by 23% (from 87 to 67).
