More than 2,700 students study at the digital department of KFU
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At the Crimean Federal University, as part of the work of the digital department, a project session for students began. This academic year, more than 2,700 students from structural divisions of the university are mastering digital competencies in 15 training programs. The project is being implemented within the framework of the Priority 2030 strategic academic leadership program.
We all understand perfectly well that digitalization is in the entire world around us: a few years ago surveillance cameras were analog, but now digital is used absolutely everywhere. But the level of literacy and the ability to set correct tasks for the implementation of digital technologies, unfortunately, are insufficient. Therefore, the digital chair program launched across the country over the next few years is very important, — quotes the press service of the deputy director for educational and methodological work of the Institute of Physics and Technology, head of the digital department of KFU. V. I. Vernadsky Alexandra Rybas.
The specificity of the programs of the digital department is designed both for students of IT specialties, for whom it allows them to master additional competencies and expand their professional capabilities; and for those whose main specialty is not related to the IT field. They will be able to gain competencies in creating algorithms and computer programs, as well as working with databases.
I chose the direction “Automation of enterprise business processes in Bitrix24”. Among other areas, it seemed to me the most promising, especially in the realities of the modern business structure. Today, many companies need to automate processes in order to reduce costs and increase profits, and Bitrix24 helps automate processes that previously took a lot of time. This promising new direction of CRM systems is already very popular in the labor market, so I’m interested in learning how to do it, – notes a student at the KFU Institute of Physics and Technology. V. I. Vernadsky Oleg Stepanov.
Not only university teachers are involved in teaching students, but also partners from specialized companies who can share practical experience and provide a basis for implementing projects — the final stage of training at the digital department.
At the moment, our company has many large projects. One of the largest is the unified healthcare system of the republic. It includes 516 healthcare units, more than 500 cryptographic protection equipment, and more than 12 thousand automated workstations at facilities. The main job is to provide technical support. Very often there are incidents related to information security, or equipment failure, which requires its reconfiguration and installation of information security tools, so we need qualified technical support specialists, where they will gain enormous experience, – says the director of the company “SVS Technologies” Valery Sidorenko.
The digital department has been operating at the Crimean Federal University for the second year. Based on the results of their studies, students receive a diploma of professional retraining — a document confirming successful completion of the program, which upon graduation is issued along with a diploma of higher education.
“Digital departments” are professional IT training programs in universities that were launched in 2022 under the national project “Digital Economy”. Students enrolled in them can obtain additional qualifications in the field of information technology in parallel with their studies in the main educational program.
