More than 20 thousand lambs have been born since the beginning of 2022 in Crimean agricultural enterprises

The fact that more than 15 thousand lambs have been born since the beginning 2022 of the year in Crimean agricultural enterprises was reported by Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Alime Zaredinova.

In the livestock enterprises of the Crimea, the offspring increased by almost 5 thousand over the month: on March 1, 15425 lambs were born from lambing 15243 ewes. The lambing campaign in Crimea is in full swing today, it will last until May. Today, the number of ewes that have calved since the beginning of the year is 238 heads, or 15% of the planned , — the press service of the acting minister quotes.

Alime Zaredinova also stressed that in the Crimean agricultural enterprises in recent years there has been a steady increase in the number of sheep: in comparison with last year, there were almost 15%, at the beginning 108 of the year, according to Krymstat, was more than 45 thousand head.

Livestock enterprises this year will be assisted in the following areas: for the purchase of breeding young animals, including sheep, 108 million 238 rubles; to support livestock breeding for breeding breeding stock, including ewes, 20, 2 million rubles; to support the breeding stock of sheep and goats , 6 million rubles; to support the production of wool obtained from fine-fleeced and semi-fine-fleeced sheep 1.8 million rubles.
