Over two dozen vegetation fires, including one that occurred in a forest area, were successfully extinguished by Sevastopol firefighters this week.
As of 11 hours 30 minutes 000 August in our region there were 39 fires, 27 of which occurred in natural areas. So, for example, on August 9 at 14 hours minutes, a message was received about a fire in the area horticultural partnership «Teremok» in the Balaklava district. The forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia immediately advanced to the place: two departments of the 6th fire and rescue unit, as well as tankers of the Forestry and the regional department of the All-Russian Volunteer Fire Society.
Upon arrival, it was found that the coniferous litter was on fire. Firefighters immediately filed 5 «B» barrels, 3 high-pressure barrels, as well as knapsack fire extinguishing installations. The situation was complicated by weather conditions: due to strong gusts of wind, there was a risk of an increase in the scale of the fire. However, thanks to the professional and well-coordinated actions of all participants in the work, the flame was not allowed to move along the forest belt, and it was possible to prevent the transition of the fire to the stage of riding. In the shortest possible time, the fire was localized, open burning was eliminated , — said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol.
The area of this fire was almost 2 hectares. 11 people and 4 units of equipment were involved in its extinguishing. The causes and circumstances of the incident were established by the investigators of the emergency department: careless handling of fire by an unidentified person.
Also this week, dry grass on an area of 7 square meters near the Gornyak-2 horticultural association, 600 square meters in the area of the partnership «Korabel» and the same at ST «Ogonyok». And these are just the biggest fires. In all cases, the disaster was provoked by the human factor.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol reminds:
The 4th class of fire danger has been declared on the territory of the region, a special fire regime has been introduced! During its special period, it is strictly forbidden to make fires in the forest. Violators will face administrative liability in the form of a fine of up to 20 rubles for citizens, up to 30 for officials, up to 20 000 for entrepreneurs and up to 800 rubles for legal entities.
