More than 200 kilometers of the coastline were cleaned in Crimea from fuel oil

In Crimea, today 215 kilometers of the coast have been cleaned from fuel oil, 721 tons of contaminated sand and soil have been collected. This was reported by the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
In Crimea, 525 kilometers are examined. 215 kilometers of the coast. A total of 721 tons of contaminated sand and soil were collected— the message says.
In Sevastopol, 662 tons of pollution were collected and taken out, in the Krasnodar Territory 185 thousand tons.
In total, 358 kilometers of the coast have been cleaned from the beginning of the work, more than 186 thousand tons of contaminated sand and soil have been collected. 144 thousand tons were taken out to the temporary storage site, and about 29 thousand tons are sifted by a vibration installation.
The divers of the Ministry of Emergencies is examined by the sunken parts of tankers, the water area, the seabed and the underwater parts of the beaches infrastructure. At the moment, 766 bags with oil -containing waste have been collected.
To protect the shore from fuel oil emissions during storm on the beaches of Anapa and the Temryuk district, an embankment shaft with protective networks is equipped to collect a small fraction of fuel oil. When cleaning, an audit and replacement of failed networks is carried out.
