More than 24 thousand citizens became participants of the All-Russian action «Cinema Night» in Sevastopol

On the night of to 28 August, the All-Russian action «Cinema Night» was held in Sevastopol. More than thousand people became its participants this year. For residents and guests of the city, on 28 venues, 28 film screenings and 69 cultural events.

The theme of the development of domestic cinema at this particular time is very powerful for the country. And this, among other things, is dedicated to a large cultural and educational project — the All-Russian action «Cinema Night», in which domestic cinema presents three main films — these are films about values ​​, — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director Department of Culture Irina Romanets.

Participants of the action saw the three highest-grossing Russian films 2021 and 2022 years. These are the family fairy-tale comedy The Last Hero: Messenger of Darkness, the legendary sports drama World Champion and the fantastic comedy Couple from the Future. Also in the cinemas of Sevastopol, they showed the film «The Idea» by the director from the DPR Dmitry Zodchey, the family adventure film «Theodosian Fairy Tale» by Natalia Lebedeva, short documentaries and author’s family cartoons of the Sevastopol project «Mom, Dad, I — Together Cartoon Family».

On the sites of the action, additional cultural events were held. Among them are an interactive children’s program, a designer show of the author’s collection, a performance by a jazz orchestra, the Mezzo-Soprano opera duet, singer Anna Shakel with compositions from films. Also, Sevastopol residents listened to a lecture by the writer, ballet historian Olga Kovalik about the greatest ballerinas of the 20th and 21st centuries, visited an exhibition of tapestries and engravings by Valery and Vitaly Lib, members of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Union of Artists of Russia.

Thanks to the organizers of the action! In the morning we danced with the child and watched cartoons, and in the evening with my husband in the park. Anna Akhmatova watched the film «World Champion» to the sound of the waves. Unbelievable!, — says Olga, a resident of Sevastopol.

In addition, in Sevastopol, the results of the project “Mom, Dad, Me Together Cartoon Family” implemented at the expense of grant funds under the leadership of Elena Volkova were summed up. Within its framework 46 large families created author’s cartoons — all of them hit the big screen during the festival of the same name. The most musical and patriotic participants of the competition were awarded with multiplier cups and prizes. The Grand Prix of the festival for the work «Merry Eight» was given to the Adigamov family.

Residents of the city also took part in acting master classes, movie quizzes, quizzes, quests and marathons.

Recall that the All-Russian action «Cinema Night» is held on the last Saturday of August and is dedicated to the Day of Russian Cinema — the holiday of filmmakers. For the first time the action was held in 2016 year in all regions of the country — then it was attended by more than 700 thousand people.
