More than 26 thousand applications from applicants have been submitted to the Crimean Federal University
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Applicants submitted 26,796 applications to the Crimean Federal University for admission to bachelor’s and specialist’s degree programs. More than half of the applications submitted were from applicants from other regions.
10% of applicants from the total number are residents of new regions. Most applicants are from Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. The most popular areas of training traditionally remain «General Medicine», «Dentistry» and «Jurisprudence». Among the new areas that opened this year, the leaders were «International Relations», «Medical Biochemistry» and «Computer Security»— the university press service quotes Alexey Gusev, assistant to the rector for admissions at KFU named after V. I. Vernadsky.
683 applications were submitted for the targeted form of training. The quota was requested by medical organizations of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency, the Department of Health of the city of Sevastopol, as well as the Ministries of Health of the Republic of Crimea, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
As Alexey Gusev notes, among the most common mistakes when submitting documents is choosing a field that does not correspond to the Unified State Exam set.
For example, instead of the results of specialized mathematics, they often send the results of basic mathematics. Also, applicants try to apply to more than five universities. Often, of course, we encounter documents submitted later than the stated deadline. In addition, unfortunately, applicants do not always understand where they are entering. They do not see the difference between a profession and a field of study— notes the assistant to the rector for admissions at KFU, Alexey Gusev.
Enrollment will take place in several stages. On July 30, applicants entering within the quota will be enrolled, on August 7 — applicants entering the main competitive places on the budget form, and on August 30 — those entering the commercial places.
