More than 32.7 thousand working Sevastopol residents received temporary disability benefits

Since the beginning of this year, over 65 thousand electronic certificates of incapacity for work have been issued in Sevastopol. The regional branch of the SFR transferred 590 million rubles to pay for sick leave for 32,730 Sevastopol residents.
Temporary disability benefits are paid in the event of an employee’s illness or injury, quarantine, or the need to care for a family member. In this case, the employee must be officially employed. The first three days of illness are paid for by the employer from his own funds, the remaining days are paid by the Department of the Financial Markets Service in Sevastopol. If sick leave is issued to care for a sick family member or while in quarantine, temporary disability benefits for the entire period are paid from the funds of the Sevastopol Branch of the Social Fund.
The amount of the benefit depends on the average earnings for the two calendar years preceding the year the employee went on sick leave and the employee’s insurance record. With 8 or more years of experience, it will be 100% of average earnings, from 5 to 8 years — 80%, less than 5 years — 60%. The assignment and payment of funds for sick leave is carried out within 10 working days.
Important! If the employee had no earnings during the billing period or had less than 6 months of work experience, then the amount of temporary disability benefits will be calculated based on the minimum wage.
Sevastopol residents who have a confirmed account on the State Services portal receive messages about the status of their electronic certificates of incapacity for work. Since 2022, certificates of incapacity for work will be issued electronically. This made it possible to minimize the time for their registration, eliminate the possibility of loss, as well as cases of fraud.
