More than 33 thousand passengers were transported between the Republic of Crimea, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions during the year
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The development of regular passenger traffic between Crimea and new regions of Russia is one of the most important tasks. This was stated by the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov. He recalled that a little over a year ago, on July 1, 2022, a bus service was opened between the Republic of Crimea, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. To date, buses run from Simferopol, Yalta and Dzhankoy to Melitopol, Berdyansk, Genichesk, Skadovsk. All routes are in demand: more than 33,000 passengers were transported during the year. There is a significant increase in passenger traffic: more than 12.5 thousand passengers in the second half of 2022 and more than 21 thousand in the first half of 2023.
Our regions are historically connected by a huge number of ties — economic, cultural, human. Since the time of the Russian Empire, Crimea, Kherson region, Zaporizhia region have actually been a single economic complex. Broken ties are being rebuilt— added the Head of the Republic.
Sergei Aksyonov expressed confidence that passenger traffic will continue to grow, and cooperation between regions will be strengthened and expanded.
