A 6th grade student of school No. 27 Darina Tkachenko noted: “I really liked the way they told us about archaeologists. We dug out the fragments of the jar, then glued the parts together, and now I know that in the future I want to become an archaeologist.” Dominika Chernigova added that she liked “drawing the artifact and making a description of it”, the press service of the Tauric Chersonese Museum-Reserve notes.
In the second part of the vocational guidance lesson in Chersonese, the restoration work captivated schoolchildren with its uniqueness and the opportunity to touch history. Many students, for example, Svetlana Rokha and Ekaterina Denisevich, noted that “learning the methods and stages of restoration was very informative, and the opportunity to glue the details of a jug with your own hands was interesting and unusual.” The girls had not heard about this fascinating profession before, but after studying at the museum-reserve, they thought about getting an education in this area.
