More than 520 million rubles have been allocated for the project to develop civil unmanned aerial vehicles
CrimeaPRESS reports:
More than 520 million rubles were allocated from the budget of the Russian Federation for the implementation of a commercial project for the development of civil unmanned aerial vehicles. It is noted that domestically produced quadcopters should hit the market at the beginning of 2024 — the development is being carried out by a startup from the Irkutsk region, NPKMI LLC.
A group of engineers has already produced about 600 UAVs for use in the Special Military Operation zone. According to experts, the devices are superior in some respects to devices from well-known international companies producing drones. And the main difference from existing quadcopters is complete invisibility for anti-drone systems. In addition, the equipment is created on the basis of components and software of our own design.
According to the general director of LLC “RESEARCH AND PRODUCTION COMPLEX OF MODERNIZATION AND INNOVATION” (a company that produces UAVs), the costs of hundreds of millions of rubles for the development of a new industry are quite adequate:
The practice of calculating the localization of components, the full development cycle from the drawing to the finished product, production as such requires quite serious financial investments. Taking into account the fact that we are talking about high-tech processes.
Moreover, the expert believes, if the task of establishing the industry includes the production of all necessary components, then this money will not be enough:
Therefore, it is important to understand the overall effect, taking into account the development of related industries, and invest in the most important and valuable technologieshe emphasizes.
