More than 570 convicts received education in penitentiary institutions of Crimea

In correctional institutions of the UFSIN of the Republic of Crimea, more than 570 convicts completed their studies and received professions, which was 18% higher than the planned release.
The training took place in a vocational educational institution No. 233 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, which operates in places of deprivation of liberty in the following specialties: gas-shielded arc welding welder, plumber, sorter, boiler-house machinist (fireman), seamstress, auxiliary worker, kitchen worker , baker and cook. Following the results of the 2022-2023 academic year, convicts who successfully passed the state final certification received certificates of the established form with the assignment of a qualification rank in a working profession— the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol notes.
All new specialists will be employed at production facilities and other facilities of correctional facilities in the region, thanks to which they will gain work experience and be able to reimburse the state for their maintenance, pay claims and compensate for damage caused by the crime, as well as help their relatives and friends.
It is worth noting that the acquired skills will make it easier for convicts to successfully resocialize and adapt in society after release, and will also help them find jobs in professions that are in demand on the labor market of the Republic of Crimea.
