More than 6,000 people took part in the action «Dictation of Victory» in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Sevastopol hosted the annual International Historical Action «Victory Dictation». This event throughout the country and in Sevastopol is being held for the fifth time by the United Russia party.

In the Hero City, the action was held at 109 sites, of which 67 sites were organized in educational institutions — 2,740 schoolchildren participated online, and 1,750 passed the written test. One of the sites was the State Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve Tauric Chersonese.

Here, the patriotic dictation was written by the governor of Sevastopol, the secretary of the Sevastopol regional branch of the United Russia party Mikhail Razvozhaev and the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Tatyana Lobach, as well as members of the orchestra of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation and leaders of Sevastopol creative teams: a total of 40 people.

Mikhail Razvozhaev congratulated all participants of the action on the upcoming Victory Day.

I wish each of you to take this dictation not as a test, but as a special opportunity to remember the great feat of our ancestors. I have already taken part in the “Victory Dictation” several times, and each time I notice that after writing the dictation, I want to remember a lot, I want to take up books on the topic of the Great Patriotic War and deepen my knowledge. This is the historical memory that we must convey to our children and grandchildren, to the next generations.— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The main topics of the fifth historical dictation were the victories of the Red Army in the Battles of Stalingrad and Kursk, the liberation of Donbass from the Nazi occupation and the breaking of the blockade of Leningrad. It also included questions on the Nuremberg trials.

Today, when the whole country is watching with bated breath the exploits of our defenders in the special military operation zone, we are even better aware of what our grandfathers and great-grandfathers did for us. Fascism must never raise its head againsaid the mayor.

Significant places of the Hero City become venues for writing the “Victory Dictation” in Sevastopol every year: this time they were the Chersonese Tauride Reserve, the new philharmonic center in the village of Orlinom and the ship-museum “Sharp-witted”.

Today I am very pleased to write this dictation here with you and once again remember every Hero who defended our Motherland during the Great Patriotic War. Thanks also to those Heroes who are now defending Russia. I express my special gratitude to the management of the museum-reserve «Tauric Chersonesos» for providing the site. I wish that there will be more and more venues for holding the Victory Dictation every year. Happy Victory Day! — emphasizes Tatyana Lobach.

The purpose of the action is to multiply and strengthen true knowledge about the events of the Great Patriotic War, to give an incentive to study history, and to preserve historical memory. Significant historical places of the Hero City become platforms for writing the «Victory Dictation» in Sevastopol every year. In 2022, 4860 people wrote the dictation at the Sevastopol venues, of which six became the winners of the action. This year in Sevastopol, more than six thousand people wrote the «Victory Dictation», including on online platforms. 22,000 venues have opened across the country, more than 300 of them in new regions of Russia. The historical dictation has been written in 46 countries of the world today.
