Crimean Federal University has become the only in-person platform in the Republic of Crimea for the fourth All-Russian patriotic public educational event “Cossack Dictation — 2023”. More than a hundred students from structural divisions of the university took part in it, as well as students from cadet classes in secondary schools in Crimea.
Participants tested their knowledge of the history, culture and traditions of the Russian Cossacks. They answered 20 online testing questions related to outstanding personalities of the Cossacks, as well as the peculiarities of the culture and life of Cossack societies.
Today, together with the “Cossack Hundred” of the university and the cadet classes of Crimean schools, sitting “at the same desk,” we took another step towards the revival of the Cossacks in modern history. I am confident that the event, which took place today for the first time at the Crimean Federal University, will be an important step towards the preservation and development of the original Cossack culture and spiritual values of the Russian Cossacks, as well as to the study of the history, traditions, and customs of the Russian Cossacks among young people, – the press service of the university quotes the vice-rector for youth policy of KFU. Based on the results of the dictation, all registered test participants receive electronic certificates.
Let us remind you that the Crimean Federal University is a member of the Association of educational organizations of higher education that implement the Cossack component. The All-Russian patriotic public educational campaign “Cossack Dictation — 2023” is taking place as part of the implementation of the objectives of the Strategy for the Development of State Policy of the Russian Federation towards the Russian Cossacks until 2030. Its main goals are to popularize the history, traditions, and customs of the Russian Cossacks among the population of the country.
