More than a thousand Crimean students and schoolchildren took part in the Day of Shock Labor

On August 17, student brigades and teenagers’ work brigades of the Republic of Crimea took an active part in the All-Russian campaign «Day of Shock Labor». This campaign is one of the important initiatives, within the framework of which the participants of student brigades demonstrate high labor achievements on one of the days of the labor semester. The salary for this shift is transferred to the Fund of Russian Student Brigades (RSB) and is used to implement social initiatives and support people who find themselves in a difficult life situation.

In Crimea, the Day of Shock Labor (DST) is held in several stages. So, on Youth Day, the first stage was held, within the framework of which 62.4 thousand rubles were already collected by student brigades. The main stage is held on August 17, within the framework of which 1025 students and schoolchildren working during the labor semester took part in the action. And the final stage will be held in September. Last year, more than eight hundred thousand rubles were collected within the three stages. This year, we plan that the amount will be an order of magnitude larger, since both the number of students and schoolchildren who join the student brigades movement is growing.said the head of the Crimean regional branch of the Russian student brigades, Vladimir Kaidansky.

On August 17, more than a thousand student brigades are working at various work sites in Crimea, most of whom are counselors and service and hospitality workers. But special attention is now being paid to employment opportunities for schoolchildren.

Work activity among teenagers is an important topic of mentoring by camp counselors. While undergoing health improvement in children’s camps and then returning home, schoolchildren actively enroll in work teams of teenagers and begin working, gaining their first work experience. For example, now underage teenagers are actively participating in the improvement works of the city of Simferopol, as well as in cleaning its municipal institutions. In total, 418 teenagers are working through work teams of teenagers this summer, which has not happened in such a number before. At the same time, teenagers begin to take an active part in all student work team events, including the Day of Shock Labor. At the initiative of Crimean schoolchildren, part of the funds of the DUT will be directed to provide assistance to residents of the Kursk regionsaid Angelina Radchenko, commander of the student teaching team “Condor”.
