More than half a million Crimeans have been immunized against influenza
CrimeaPRESS reports:
More than half a million Crimeans have been immunized against influenza since the start of the 2023 vaccination campaign.
To date, 524,032 people have been vaccinated against influenza in Crimea, including 392,317 adults and 131,715 children. The immunization plan was completed by 47.8%. We urge Crimeans not to delay going to a medical organization for vaccination, since it is important that immunity against influenza is formed before the seasonal increase in acute respiratory viral infections begins,” the press service of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Crimea Konstantin Skorupsky quotes.
Let us recall that in order to create collective immunity against influenza, it is planned to vaccinate 1,092,000 people in 2023: 811,494 adults and 280,506 children. Immunization is carried out with the drugs “Ultrix quadrivalent”, “Grippol quadrivalent”, “Sovigripp”.
The vaccines used reliably protect against influenza strains that, according to experts, will circulate in the current epidemic season. The risk group for influenza includes young children whose immune systems have not yet developed, pregnant women, the elderly, and patients with chronic diseases. In these categories of the population, influenza most often occurs with severe complicationsnotes the head of the Crimean Ministry of Health.
You can get immunized at your nearest medical facility. Before vaccination, both adults and children are examined by a doctor.
Also in the Republic of Crimea, vaccine prevention of the new coronavirus infection continues; the drug “Sputnik Light” is used for immunization.
