More than thirty thousand subscribers (about one hundred thousand people) in Crimea remain without electricity

State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymenergo» continues to eliminate emergency damage to networks. The emergency teams of power engineers cannot be blamed for inaction. In the morning in Crimea there were 50,000 subscribers disconnected from electricity, by 16:00 – about 34 thousand, by the evening – about 30 thousand. But it’s still a lot — about 100 thousand people are without electricity, old people, families with children, villagers. The impact of the elements was serious.

From 10:00 to 15:00, specialists from the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea “Krymenergo” restored power supply to 16.8 thousand people. In total, during the period of bad weather, the operation of 10 110 kV power lines, 28 35 kV power lines, 479 6-10 kV power lines was restored,” noted Krymenergo.

The majority of unpowered subscribers remain in the Simferopol region — about 12 thousand. About 6 thousand are in the Saki region, a little less in the Black Sea and Bakhchisarai regions.

273 teams consisting of 679 specialists from the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea “Krymenergo” and related network and resource supply organizations, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, municipal services, private and other organizations continue to work on eliminating the consequences of the storm and restoring the networks’ functionality. 240 units of special equipment, including all-terrain vehicles, were involved. Work continues around the clock.
