Pyrotechnic units of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea regularly carry out operations to neutralize explosive objects from the Great Patriotic War. At the moment, 2067 units of dangerous finds have been destroyed in Crimea throughout the Crimean peninsula. Among them are 59 aerial bombs of various calibers and power. It is worth noting that shells found are both Soviet and German made in the 40s of the last century.

Pyrotechnicians of the Specialized and Special Marine Units carry out neutralization operations in accordance with all safety rules. The shells are removed from the ground, loaded into a special vehicle on a sand cushion and delivered to the test site, where a controlled detonation takes place with all precautions.noted the emergency department.

The latest clearance operation took place in the eastern part of Crimea, where 24 explosive objects were found, including 3 artillery shells, 1 mortar mine, 1 high-explosive bomb, 10 hand grenades, fuses and small arms ammunition.

For the removal, transportation and controlled detonation, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations required 11 pyrotechnic specialists from the personnel and 4 units of equipment.
