Morning accident on the Evpatoria – Mirny highway: a person fell under the wheels of a minivan. Died

Police are conducting an investigation into a fatal accident in the Saki region. According to the traffic police, the tragedy occurred this morning (at 6:30) on the Evpatoria – Mirny highway.”

The driver of the MERCEDES-BENZ car, a man, born in 1975, moving from the direction of the village. Mirny in the direction of the city of Evpatoria, while performing the “overtaking” maneuver of a vehicle moving in front in a permitted place, hit a pedestrian, born in 1991, who was moving in the same direction along the roadway on the left, from the side of the village. Mirny towards the city of Evpatoria, outside the populated area, without having reflective elements on outer clothing. A pedestrian was fatally injured as a result of an accident— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

An investigation into the accident is underway and the causes and circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
