Payment for repayment of a mortgage for large families can be doubled, to 900 thousand rubles. This was told by the chairman of the State Duma committee on the financial market Anatoly Aksakov newspaper Izvestia during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Now the size of the mortgage payment is 450 thousand rubles.
Such a bill was submitted to the State Duma. Everyone supports this initiative, Aksakov noted. According to him, the increased amount of payment may appear when considering the draft budget for 2026. Aksakov also said that from next year it is planned to launch a family investment program. Spouses will be able to receive a tax deduction in the amount of up to 130 thousand rubles.
The draft law on increasing payment for large families was submitted to the State Duma in May 2025. The initiative was made by the deputy of the lower house of parliament Nina Ostanina. She emphasized that over 5 years the amount of payment has never increased. It is expected that the law will enter into force on January 1, 2026.
