Mother's Day was celebrated in Tauric Chersonesos

The museum-reserve hosted the concert «Special Connection», timed to coincide with Mother’s Day, which in Russia falls on the last Sunday of November. Families raising children with disabilities and with limited health abilities (HIA) became participants in the festive event in Chersonesos.

Mom is the main person in everyone’s life, so it is so important to congratulate our loved ones, give them joy and say words of gratitude for their daily and hourly work. Today, on the eve of the upcoming holiday, the staff of the Tauric Chersonese Museum-Reserve organized a special concert, where about 100 people enjoyed the performances soloists of the Dance Theater named after Vadim Elizarov and performances by students of the Academy of Choreography of Sevastopol.

However, the main artists on this day were the participants of the creative studio for children with disabilities «White Ship». For their beloved mothers, they sang songs, read touching poems and delighted them with dance numbers. So that the children would not get bored, the hosts of the holiday held interactive games for them and made a lot of riddles for everyone. For the correct answers, the children received flowers and happily handed them to their mothers. The children were able to make a gift with their own hands at a delicious master class on painting gingerbread, which brought them a lot of pleasant emotions.

Natalya Fisunova, a wonderful mother of a special child, shared her impressions of the concert:

We are recent guests at the White Ship club, but we have already felt the attention and care. I am very grateful to the staff of Tauric Chersonesos for giving parents and children the opportunity to develop and become participants in cultural events. Today’s concert is a great chance to create, to love, not to stop there. The success of our children depends on us, our efforts and the opportunities that such concerts open up for us.
