Mud mining in Saki is ready to expand distribution

After the reconstruction, the production base of the Crimean GGRES has been expanded to six thousand tons and is ready for distribution expansion. Reconstruction and technical re-equipment of the objects of the lake-mud economy of the Crimean hydrogeological regime-operational station was carried out to preserve the Saki Lake with therapeutic mud in the framework of the Federal Target Program «Socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol up to 2025 of the year». This is the first reconstruction that has been carried out since the launch of the Krymskaya GRES, in the Ukrainian period no work was carried out to modernize the station.

The enterprise is engaged in the extraction of mud, brine and mineral water, and also produces balneo-mud cosmetics. Today the station produces 62 items — types of mud and cosmetic products.

AT 2017 — 3504 years developed and tested 18 of new cosmetic products of the CRIMEAN SPA line PRODUCT”, on their basis, unique balneo-cosmetic procedures for the domestic SPA industry are being introduced. In 2019 year, the enterprise produced more than 3 thousand tons of therapeutic mud, as well as over thousand cubic meters of brine. The reserves of silt sulfide highly mineralized therapeutic mud of the Saki deposit in the Eastern (exploited) and Western (reserve) basins are estimated at about 5 million tons

The Crimean State District Power Plant provides hydro-mineral resources for the therapeutic Saki Lake and balneological products based on them 76 of sanatorium-and-spa institutions and SPA centers of the Republic of Crimea and the Russian Federation.

At the moment, the structure of consumption is more than 30% accounts for Crimea, more than 13% in the sanatorium of mainland Russia. The main major customers of the products are the sanatoriums of Saki, Evpatoria, as well as the resort hotel «Palmira Palace», the sanatoriums «Belarus», «Dnepr», «Dulber», «Miskhor», etc. In addition, Saki mud is used in the sanatoriums of Perm, Orenburg , Samara, Bashkortostan, mud baths in Vladikavkaz, Kazan, Penza, Vladivostok, Izhevsk, etc.

The possibility of expanding the supply of Saki therapeutic mud to the sanatoriums of Belarus is being discussed. During the official visit of the Crimean delegation to the Republic of Belarus, a number of working meetings were held with the leadership of the Republican Union of the Tourism Industry and the Centerkurort enterprise, which is part of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus, and the leadership of the trade mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus, where an increase in the supply of Crimean wines and essential oil products, as well as Saka mud, medical preparations and applications based on them, their promotion and sale with the participation of Belarusian state enterprises, participation in business missions and events on the territory of the republic.

Interest in Crimea as a health resort and supplier of our medical resources is extremely high. In addition, today the world-famous Saka therapeutic mud is the basis for the development of a powerful balneological resort, and thanks to the federal target program, the region is prepared for the arrival of an investor, which contributes to investing in modern medical and recreational complexes. Saki therapeutic mud is the «black gold» of the Crimea, the effectiveness of which is many times higher than world analogues, they treat more than 76 diseases, — notes the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko.

In 2019 and in 2021 the enterprise became the winner of the All-Russian Forum «Health Resort-2019», in the nomination: «The best enterprise for bottling mineral waters and packaging therapeutic mud».
