A resident of Simferopol was sentenced to 9 years in prison for beating his partner, who later died from her injuries. By decision of the Kyiv District Court of the Crimean capital, the man was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim through negligence).
The court found that in February of this year, a man, while intoxicated, during a conflict with his partner, inflicted multiple punches and kicks to the latter in the head and body area, causing abrasions, bruises, broken ribs and a closed head injury. The woman died as a result of the injuries sustained.— reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 9 years in prison. The convict will serve his sentence in a maximum security correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
