My Business Center in Sevastopol: the advanced training course for tour guides has completed

The “School of Guides” for the self-employed of Sevastopol has ended. The training took place within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises”. The purpose of the course is to obtain the competencies necessary to perform professional activities in the field of providing excursion services. The event was held for the first time at the site of the Sevastopol “My Business” center.

Training is a key factor in improving professionalism and quality of service in the tourism industry. It contributes to the development of knowledge of self-employed people, which they can apply in their practical activities– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the “My Business” center Natalia Borisova.

Students learned about the technology and methodology for preparing excursions, the concept and strategy for the development of an excursion unit, the organization of activities for the sale of excursion services, the legal regulation of excursion activities, and the procedure for certifying tour guides.

Participants noted the high quality of the provision of material, organization of classes and individual approach to each listener. Listeners also appreciated the practical approach based on working cases.

The training program covered both history and culture, as well as the necessary technical skills and abilities in communicating with excursion groups. This comprehensive approach allowed us to master a wide range of knowledge that will be useful both in professional activities and in everyday life.,” notes museum guide Andrei Palvinsky.

The training was conducted by highly qualified experts, associate professors of the Department of Tourism, Service and Hotel Business of Northern State University Ekaterina Kashirina and Ekaterina Lukyanova.

Ten self-employed people from the city of Sevastopol completed the course “School of Guides” and received certificates of advanced training.
