National Unity Day in Sevastopol: how the holiday will be celebrated in the Hero City

Tomorrow, November 4, Russia celebrates National Unity Day. A number of events are planned in Sevastopol aimed at uniting and rallying the citizens of the country, strengthening spiritual and moral unity.

So, within the framework of the All-Russian cultural and educational action «Night of the Arts — 2022», the events of which will be held in all districts of the city, on November 4 there will be excursions and master classes in the «Tauric Chersonese», an exhibition and a lecture in the Russian State Art Gallery, exhibitions, film screenings and theatrical tours at the Museum-Reserve of the Heroic Defense and Liberation of Sevastopol. Also on November 5, the Cup of the Commander of the Black Sea Fleet in rugby among children’s teams, dedicated to the Day of National Unity.

Everyone will be able to take part in online flash mobs dedicated to the memorable date. For one of them, you need to record a patriotic video with a tricolor and put the hashtag #WeTogetherWeStrength, the other — to post a recipe of one of the peoples of Russia on your page, the purpose of the flash mob is to popularize the traditions of the peoples of the country.

Residents of Sevastopol can also record their video message to the participants of the special operation at the Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity: you can do this on November 4 from 12: 00 to 12: 00 and with 16: 00 before 18: 00.

On November 3, students from sponsored Melitopol arrived in Sevastopol, who had already managed to participate in the cycle of patriotic events “Pride Post, Memory Post, Honor Post”, write the “Great Ethnographic Dictation” and visit Tauric Chersonese. On National Unity Day, they will take part in a creative drawing master class “My Russia. Traditions and Modernity” and will visit the Quantorium Children’s Technopark.

In addition, the regional marathon «MYVMESTE.CHILDREN» is being held in Sevastopol, aimed at strengthening spiritual and moral unity and supporting Russian military personnel. So, as part of the All-Russian campaign «Kind Letters», the guys send letters, postcards and gifts made by themselves to the participants of the special military operation. The All-Russian campaign to create a collection of chevrons for fighters «Brave and important» is also taking place, and participants in the «Hero of my country» campaign compose author’s works: poems and songs glorifying the valor and feat of the soldiers-defenders of modern Russia.
