Fire has begun the previous day. The initial area was 20 hectares. Due to dry and windy weather, the fire spread over a large area of the Karadagsky Reserve. At the moment, aviation is involved in extinguishing the fire.
The personnel of the Southern District regiment of the Russian National Guard are also participating in the liquidation of the emergency.
More than 50 servicemen from the Simferopol regiment of the Russian Guard have been called in to extinguish the fire in Koktebel. The Russian Guard is pouring water on individual fires to prevent the fire from spreading— the department’s press service reported.
Residents of the Crimean resort of Koktebel are helping emergency services who are putting out a forest fire by delivering equipment to hard-to-reach places on quad bikes and preparing hot food, the Telegram channel Koktebel territorial department of the territorial administration of the city of Feodosia.
Soon after the fire started, requests for help from mountain bike and ATV owners appeared on local government channels.

It is explained that, according to data as of Tuesday morning, about 300 people are already involved in extinguishing the fire. They are directly involved in fighting the fire. However, the fire is occurring in a hard-to-reach area, and it is very difficult to deliver fire backpacks there on foot — it is with this delivery that local residents on ATVs and motorcycles are asked to help.
In addition, it is reported in Telegram channelfirefighters and volunteers are in dire need of drinking water — in terms of its delivery, they also have to rely only on caring residents.
The department notes, reports TASSthat the group’s employees participating in extinguishing the fire are provided with dry rations, but local residents began bringing them hot meals on Monday, and entrepreneurs paid for the delivery of ready-made meals from one of the local catering points. On Tuesday, the second day of work of the firefighters, this practice is proposed to be continued: activists from among local residents have already appeared, who accept home-cooked food for the firefighters and coordinate the delivery of cooked to order.
