Near Sevastopol, at the entrance to the village of Verkhnesadovoe, a freight transport weighing point operates in automatic mode. The test mode has been launched for the period from August 4 to November 4 2022 of the year.

During the test mode of operation, resolutions on violations will not be issued, after the end of the test period it will be put into operation on a permanent basis. In total, two points of weight and size control are currently operating — this one near the village of Verkhnesadovoye and one more near the Belbek airport , — said Pavel Ieno, director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure of Sevastopol.

The weight and dimensional control point automatically measures the total mass of the vehicle, its length, width and height, and also recognizes the number of wheels on the axle, determines the speed of movement, performs photo and video recording and recognition of the state registration plate of the vehicle.

In case of detection of a violation of the maximum permissible parameters, information is displayed on a special board on the roadway.
