New communication base stations will be built in 38 settlements of Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The operators planned to carry out this work in cities and regions of the peninsula in order to provide residents not only with mobile communications, but also with high-speed Internet. Acting Minister of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of Crimea Albert Kurshutov spoke about this live, organized by the Regional Management Center of the Republic of Crimea.
By the end of 2024, it is planned to build base stations in 38 settlements in the Bakhchisaray, Nizhnegorsky, Kirov, Dzhankoy, Krasnogvardeysky, Belogorsky, Saki, Leninsky, Sovetsky, Chernomorsky and Razdolnensky districts. This will ensure stable communications in settlements where up to 500 people live,” emphasized Albert Kurshutov.
According to him, requests from Crimeans for high-speed mobile Internet began to arrive more often. To solve these problems, base stations were upgraded to the LTE (4G) level. Thus, it was possible to increase the data transfer speed by 30%.
During a live broadcast organized by the Regional Management Center of the Republic of Crimea, Alber Kurshutov spoke about countering cyber attacks on the websites of government bodies. In 2023, the hardware and software system for protecting against DDOS attacks was modernized in Crimea, and all resources of government agencies and departments were transferred to domestic information systems.
