High-tech laser devices were purchased.
New high-tech equipment has been installed at the Medical Ophthalmological Center of the Yevpatoria City Hospital. Two laser devices — an ophthalmic laser system and a laser diode ophthalmic device were purchased by a medical institution using rationed safety stock funds.
Ophthalmological devices allow laser surgical treatment of the anterior and posterior parts of the eye, surgical treatment of glaucoma with hypotensive purposes, dissection of posterior and superior synechiae, adhesions, removal of fibrosis of the posterior capsule (after catarrhal operations), removal of limited opacities of the vitreous body. These devices are also used to treat retinal degeneration, degenerative forms of myopia, diabetic retinopathy of the retina, prevention of retinal detachments, and some types of glaucoma.reports the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea.
Currently, doctors at the Medical Ophthalmological Center of the Evpatoria City Hospital are being trained to perform laser surgery using new high-tech equipment. The launch of the laser surgery room is planned for January 2024.
The introduction of new medical technologies by equipping the center with medical equipment and training employees in modern diagnostic and treatment methods makes it possible to provide qualified ophthalmological care not only to Evpatoria residents, but also to residents of neighboring regions.
