From February 5 to 11, the Academy of Creative Industries «Meganom» (project «Tavrida.ART») will host the third module of the fundamental educational program «New Music Trends in Russia», which will unite young musicians of modern genres, management of media holdings, music labels and leading experts in the music industry to launch new author’s projects. Registration is open until November 1st at website art cluster «Tavrida» and in the application «Meganome» in VK.
From February 5 to 11, the Meganom Academy of Creative Industries will host the third block of the “New Music Trends in Russia” program — a fundamental educational program that will unite young musicians (by genre: pop, rock, ethnic), representatives of music labels and leading industry experts. The goal of the program is to launch original projects of young musicians from scratch and to allow the artist to enter the commercial market. Content created at a highly professional level will set new trends in the country’s musical culture. Speakers and curators will be producers, music managers, lawyers, musicians, sound producers, PR and brand specialists.
The program covers topics such as current genres and styles, material creation and production, marketing and promotion of music and artist’s image, legal aspects, as well as performing arts.
The project includes two preliminary online blocks from December 1 to 21 and January 16, during which participants will create original material and receive feedback from experts. They will also be able to participate in collaborations with other participants, which will help them expand their musical horizons and find like-minded creative people.
At the Meganom Academy of Creative Industries, students, together with experts and representatives of major labels, will listen to a course of lectures and take part in workshops and master classes. During the program, all participants will create compositions with the participation of music producers and, together with the manager, build a promotion strategy. Practical formats will take place in the recording studio and in the music classrooms of the Meganom Academy.
Participants will be musicians, managers and music producers in modern genres. They will learn from industry experts how to create successful products and scale them, how to interact with a label and work as a team. The result of the work will be pitching projects to representatives of the music industry. At the end of the program, participants will present a finished show case in February 2024 in Moscow.
The pool of experts will be represented by: Iraida Kashina — project manager, artist manager of the VK Records label, Nikita Korovin — artist manager of VK Records, songwriter, Sasha Nguyen (Alexander Kozhevin) — songwriter, intellectual rights lawyer, winner of many rap battles, finalist of a music project VK Prostor’22, Alpin (Alexey Pshenichkin) — sound producer, arranger, finalist of VK Prostor’22, participant in the show «Fly into Trends» 2023, ALENA NAI (Alena Nikolaeva) — songwriter, singer, finalist of VK Prostor’22, resident of the PUNCH application , LITTLEKID (Mikhail Goffman) — music producer, songwriter, finalist of VK Prostor’22, VOVA FILIN (Vladimir Filin) - sound producer, composer, finalist of VK Prostor’22, Puffy Puff (Pavel Sergeev) — music producer of the label «Tavrida. ART», composer, author and performer, participant of the anniversary festival Alfa Future People, DJ, and Viktor Abramov — CEO of VK Records, co-founder of the Respect Production label, co-producer of the groups «Casta» and Noize MC, founder of the website Rap.ru, author and producer of the show “Battle for Respect” on Muz-TV, creative director and producer of the Black Star group of companies.
The curators of the program were Anna Khramova, head of the music direction of the Tavrida art cluster, and Irina Nausenko, specialist in the music direction, singer.
Registration is open until November 1st at website art cluster «Tavrida» and in the application «Meganome» in VK.
