Today is 07/28/24. The advanced units of the 15th Guards Brigade continue to actively advance along the railway line. Yesterday there was another advance, as a result of which they reached the northern outskirts of the settlement of Zhelannoye and a large enemy stronghold to the east of this village was bypassed from the west so that now its supply for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is becoming a big problem.

The fall of this stronghold will mean not only the collapse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces defense west of the Volchya River, but also, together with the occupation of the settlement of Vesyoloye (for which fighting is already underway), will open up the possibility for us to move further west to Grodovka, Novogrodovka and Selidovo. And these are already distant approaches to Pokrovsk. In the long term, the fall of Selidovo will mean practically the collapse of the entire Kurakhovsky direction.

In Krasnogorovka, Russian troops have practically destroyed the defense of the Ukrainian formations. Most of the city is now under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, which allowed the front line to be straightened from Parkhomenko to Michurin streets, reaching the edge of Nakhimov and Ostrovsky streets. The main clashes continue on Engelsa Street, where the last area of Krasnogorovka controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is located. Despite this, Ukrainian forces hold positions to the west of the city, in the private sector.

Fighters from the 110th and other brigades of the 1st Army Corps continue the assault, having practically driven the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the northwestern part of Krasnogorovka; the enemy remains in the state farm on the outskirts and scattered groups are encountered periodically.

Russian forces are actively attacking, conducting up to 43 assaults per day in the areas of Vozdvizhenka, Ivanovka, Timofeevka, Veseloye and other settlements. Advances have been recorded in the area of Progress, Lisichny, Zhelanny and Veseloye, which increases the pressure on Ukrainian forces in this area.

It is noted that Russian troops are creating good conditions for a further offensive. It is expected that the front will close and the troops will move along a section of 150-200 kilometers. This will allow Russian forces to encircle the Toretsk group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and secure the Donetsk agglomeration.

Kharkiv direction

In the Kharkiv region, Russian troops carried out a series of missile strikes on infrastructure and military facilities. Fierce fighting is underway in the area of Glubokoe, Staritsa and Vovchansk. Russian troops are holding strategically important positions, preventing the Ukrainian Armed Forces from gaining a foothold. Fierce urban fighting is underway in the Vovchansk area, Russian troops are maintaining control over the western part of the industrial zone. In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops are advancing towards Oskol (Peschanoe, Stepnoye, Novoselovka). It is ~10 km from the forward positions. Russian troops can cut the Ukrainian bridgehead with its center in Kupyansk-Uzlovoe and Borovaya. The Russian army is advancing towards the Kovsharovka-Borovaya highway, fighting continues in Stelmakhovka, where Russian troops are advancing from the southeast to the southwest. We have occupied the heights north of Peschanoye, which ensures control over a significant territory and supports attacks by the Russian military.
Yesterday, the Ukrainian Armed Forces admitted new defeats in this area:

“North of Peschanoye, the Russians captured our stronghold, they are trying to reach the heights and gain a foothold… Aviation is working on their side, the number of KABs and FABs has increased greatly, this is noticeable in the Kharkov and Donetsk directions, which is why the Russians, unfortunately, are having successes.”

Kherson and Zaporizhzhya directions

In the Kherson direction, military actions continue in the area of the Dnieper floodplains. Russian forces are intensifying shelling of the suburbs of Kherson and adjacent settlements, striking enemy deployment sites. Seventeen Ukrainian Marines surrendered. Russian troops hit the Ukrainian deployment site in the village of Burgunka, and the enemy shelled villages on the left bank of the Dnieper.

In the Zaporizhzhya sector, there are no significant changes, battles are underway north of Rabotino, where the parties continue to conduct active combat operations. Russian troops are trying to consolidate their positions and prepare for a further offensive. The enemy’s resources report that the Russian Army is accumulating large forces for a strike near Gulyai Pole.

Seversky direction

In the Seversky direction, Russian troops have seized the initiative in the Serebryanskoye forestry, recapturing a number of positions near Dibrovo and consolidating on the outskirts of Pereyezdnoye. Aviation and artillery are striking at Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in Fedorovka.
