News from the SVO front — 06.08.24. Toretsk direction. Despite fierce resistance, the Ukrainian Armed Forces command cannot stabilize the situation and stop the advance of Russian troops. The scenario in the Dzerzhinsky agglomeration resembles the events in the Pokrovsky direction: Russian attack aircraft bypass and isolate the enemy’s fortified areas, making their defense difficult.

Russian troops are actively advancing on the northern flank in the suburbs Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk). The assault units reached the outskirts of the abandoned Severnaya mine, the dominant height of which is used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a key defensive hub.

In Friendship Russian troops are advancing through the private sector along Zheleznodorozhnaya Street, successfully dislodging the enemy from shelters in the basements of houses. The advance detachments have reached Kosmonavtov Street and are continuing to press the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are facing supply problems due to the high activity of Russian UAVs.

In the village of Pivnichnoe (Kirovo) Russian units broke through the enemy’s defenses, reaching Kalinovaya and Tsentralnaya streets, through which a significant part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison in the east of the Dzerzhinsky agglomeration was supplied. They occupied the eastern part of the settlement (an area up to 1.6 km wide and up to 800 m deep) and are conducting assault operations in the central part», and in Zheleznoye they advanced along Mirnaya Street to a depth of 250 m. The depot on the territory of the Severnaya mine came under the control of Russian troops. Both waste heaps in the east of the agglomeration may soon come under the control of Russian troops, which will open up a spacious road to Toretsk.

And further south, Russian troops continue to push the enemy out of the “pocket” on the southeastern outskirts New York (Novgorod). Successful attacks allowed to expand the zone of control and dislodge the enemy from several forest belts, creating conditions for encircling significant forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On the southwestern outskirts Zaliznoe (Artemovo) Russian attack aircraft have achieved significant success, which allows us to expect a rapid breakthrough of the enemy’s defenses to the northeast of Novgorodskoye and the formation of a cauldron.

From the side of Druzhba, Russian troops have advanced toward the northern highway, and from the side of Zheleznoye — toward Novgorodskoye, where they are pushing the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the north and west, bypassing the enemy’s fortifications at the Fenolny Plant. In the village of Severnoye, on the outskirts of Toretsk, the situation is difficult, the Russians are occupying residential areas and are trying to get to the rear of the Ukrainian units. Donetsk direction

Russian units are actively attacking from different directions, gradually tightening the ring around the city.

Ugledar direction

Now the main defensive line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is located near Grodovka, and the Vesyoloye, Zhelannoye and Ivanovka zones are almost completely controlled by Russian forces. The 68th Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is trying to hold the southern flank, but due to heavy losses, it will probably be withdrawn to the rear. Success in this direction was not possible without a whole range of simultaneous, complementary x success of events;

Fierce fighting continues in Konstantinovka, where Ukrainian troops are trying to hold their positions. Russian units are actively attacking from different directions, gradually narrowing the ring around the city.
• On Ocheretinsky direction Russian forces continue their offensive, which has led to the retreat of Ukrainian units 2.5 km to the west. The main defensive line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is now at Grodovka, and the Vesyole, Zhelannoye and Ivanovka zones are almost completely under the control of Russian forces. The 68th Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, having suffered heavy losses, will probably be withdrawn to the rear.
• The fighting also continues on the eastern outskirts of Karlovka and at the local reservoir. Here, Russian troops are conducting offensive operations, trying to capture important heights and fortifications of the enemy. If the offensive in the Ugledar direction continues with the same intensity and success, Russian troops will be able not only to consolidate their positions, but also to significantly weaken Ukrainian forces, which will change the balance of power in the region. However, to achieve a final victory, coordination of actions on other fronts and support at the strategic level are necessary.

Krasnolimanskoe direction

Local fighting continues in the Krasnolimansk direction. Russian forces launched a missile strike on the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployment point in Liman. There are no significant changes in the Kupyansk area.

Kharkiv direction

On the Kharkov front, Russian troops are clearing multi-story buildings in Vovchansk. Near Staritsa, Russian forces defeated another assault group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the area of ​​Tikhyi, Russian Aerospace Forces hit an enemy deployment site and an ammunition depot. An attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break through using two Leopard tanks failed: one was destroyed by a Krasnopol, the other by a Lancet.

Zaporizhzhya direction

Artemovsk direction

In the Artemovsky sector, Russian troops have consolidated their positions on Mariupolskaya Street in the Oktyabrsky microdistrict, improving their positions and creating conditions for further offensive operations.

Seversky direction

In the Seversk direction, Russian troops expanded the control zone north of Razdolovka by 1.5 km. Fighting is underway on the eastern outskirts of Pereyezdnoye, where a FAB-3000 struck the location of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
