Night fire in the Crimean village of Shafrannoye. The fire nearly destroyed the entire house
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Late the night before (at 11:05 p.m.), the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a signal about a fire in the village of Shafrannoe (Simferopol district). The roof of a private residential building caught fire. The fire could spread to the entire house in a matter of minutes.
Within an hour, the fire was completely localized and extinguished. Its area was 90 square meters. Fighting the fire was complicated by strong, gusty winds. Thanks to the coordinated actions of firefighters, they managed to repel 3 living rooms from the fire. No injuries— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
Experts are determining the cause of the fire, but most likely the fire began to spread across the roof due to problems with the chimney. Fires associated with stove heating are not uncommon in Crimean villages.
