“Night of Arts” in Sevastopol: how it happened

On National Unity Day, the all-Russian cultural and educational event “Night of the Arts” traditionally took place in Sevastopol. This year the event was held under the motto “Russia Unites”.
Traditionally, the “Night of the Arts” was held in theaters, cinemas, museums, libraries, palaces and clubs in Sevastopol. It is clear that the interest of the townspeople is growing. For example, about 4 thousand Sevastopol residents attended events in our libraries. Also the day before we opened library branch No. 22, and there was already an action there!, – the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the department of culture, Angela Sumakova.
Sevastopol residents and guests of the city had the opportunity for free not only to touch the beauty and immerse themselves in a creative atmosphere, but also to deepen their knowledge of history and become better acquainted with the culture and traditions of the peoples of Russia.
More than 50 different cultural and educational institutions of Sevastopol took part in the event, including libraries, palaces of culture, and museums. The program of events included theatrical interactive excursions, historical film screenings and children’s master classes, as well as the organization of humanitarian aid collection points for participants in the special operation.

“Night of Arts” took place in all areas of the city, including villages. The main venues were the Tauride Chersonese Museum-Reserve with a rich day-long program, the Museum of the Defense of Sevastopol with interactive historical excursions and musical performances, and the Korabel cultural center, which hosted the immersive event “In the same ranks with art.” In addition, in the Sevastopol Art Museum. M.P. Kroshitsky held a special excursion “Teachers and Students”, also dedicated to the Year of the Teacher and Mentor.
