The police are investigating a traffic accident on the Simferopol-Yevpatoria highway in which an elderly pedestrian died.
On July 5, at 00:05, at the 57th km of the Simferopol-Yevpatoria highway, a 66-year-old driver of a HAVAL vehicle, moving from Yevpatoria towards the city of Saki, in the area of the Yevpatoria Landing Forces memorial, hit a 73-year-old pedestrian who, for unknown reasons, was on the roadway without reflective elements. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian was fatally injured.— the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reported.
Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the accident.
