“NO BARRIERS”: winners of the public recognition award were awarded in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the public recognition award “NO BARRIERS — 2023” for children, adolescents and young people with disabilities. The award has become an important event, creating opportunities to express oneself in creative, sports and intellectual activities. The head of Crimea took part in the award ceremony for the winners of the competition.
The willpower and fortitude of the guys, the will to live and the will to win are the main qualities that need to be maintained. But this is both the support of parents and the support of teachers. In fact, after the competition we communicate with the guys, we communicate with their parents. Even the final of the competition gives the children a boost for the whole year, an understanding that we need them, parents need them, society needs them, — said Sergei Aksenov.
This year the award was held for the tenth time. It is in demand both among children and youth, and among their parents. This year, 233 applications from 25 municipalities of the republic were submitted for the award, and 33 participants who showed their talents in sports, creativity, and other areas became laureates.
Being a volunteer for this award is a special and touching moment for me, a fighter of the Crimean regional branch of the RSO. During the event, I became convinced of how important it is to help and notice children and adolescents with disabilities. In their talent and desire to win, one can feel the true strength of spirit and the will to live. Today the children prepared an incredible performance, which once again proves that “There are no barriers” for any of us. We need them, their parents need them and the whole society needs them. Thanks to such competitions, they receive a charge of inspiration for the whole year and the opportunity to realize their abilities.
But the main people in this work are parents and mentors of children who help children achieve serious heights. Being volunteers at this event and seeing all the work done, I would like to thank the children and their mentors for their tremendous work. This work is truly cool, — said Victoria Panshina, commissioner of the student teaching team “Terra Unique”.
