Northern State University students took part in the Great Ethnographic Dictation

The international educational campaign “Great Ethnographic Dictation — 2023” across the country began on the eve of National Unity Day — November 3, and ended on November 8. The dictation introduces the culture, traditions and customs of the peoples living in Russia, and tests the ethnocultural literacy of Russians. The promotion takes place in online and offline formats. At the base of the Mikhailovskaya Battery naval museum, dictation participants tested their knowledge in the field of ethnology and ethnography by answering 30 questions.
This is really becoming a people’s event, which Sevastopol residents even take part in with their entire families. The topics of the dictation relate to the history, culture and traditions of the peoples of Russia, and they are inexhaustible. Questions about both the history of Sevastopol and the state system of the Russian Federation, the history of the peoples inhabiting our country, including small ones— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the representative of the Department of Internal Policy of Sevastopol Vladimir Kolesnikov.
After passing the test, SevSU students were given a tour of the museum, and they were also given certificates with the results of the dictation.

Assignments are available in Russian, English and Spanish. Correct answers will be published by November 13th. Last year, more than 20 thousand residents of Sevastopol took part in the event.
