Not all chatbots are “equally useful.” Even if it says “Sevastopol”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
How reported Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev, a fake account appeared on Telegram, which was “disguised” as the well-known chat bot “Defense of Sevastopol”. According to the head of the city, TsIPsO is coming up with new sophisticated ways to ruin the lives of Sevastopol residents. Well, the only and real link to our chatbot is @oborona92bot.
There are no other links and cannot be. Let me remind you that all information from it is quickly available to all law enforcement agencies. @oborona92bot_bot is a fake account created by scammers. Please note: the bot name is very similar, but the word bot is used 2 times.
Dear residents of Sevastopol, be careful! An information war is currently being actively waged. Do not be fooled by the provocations of enemies and scammers. A fake bot offers to click buttons and subscribe to some strange resources. The goal is to steal your account. If you see such invitations, do not click on any links or buttons. Block this account and close this conversation— the governor addressed the townspeople.
How to deal with this? If you see such channels, immediately send a complaint and block your account, and of course, do not subscribe under any circumstances.
