Not “found a wallet,” but “stole a wallet.” Case in Sevastopol (also recorded by a surveillance camera)

In Sevastopol, police patrol officers detained a suspect in the theft of a wallet with money. The attacker turned out to be a 39-year-old local resident who had previously been convicted, who found a lost wallet in the store and took it for himself.
A 26-year-old resident of Moscow contacted the police with a statement about the disappearance of his wallet containing four thousand rubles, 300 US dollars, a driver’s license and a passport. As it turned out, the man lost his wallet on the way out of the store, and when he discovered it was missing and returned back, it was no longer there.
After the police studied the recordings from CCTV cameras, all external services were given an orientation with the appearance of the male suspect. While on the patrol route, employees of the PPSP of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Gagarinsky district detained the attacker and took him to the police department— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee by the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Gagarinsky district under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”), he faces up to 5 years in prison.
