In Kerch, a young man found himself in the dock for an accident involving leaving the scene of the accident. A 23-year-old local resident is accused under paragraph “b” of Part 2 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, resulting through negligence in causing serious harm to human health, associated with leaving the place where it was committed).

According to the pre-trial investigation authorities, the accused in August 2023, while driving a Skoda Octavia car, driving above the speed limit along Pervaya Pyatiletka Street in the city of Kerch, hit a pedestrian crossing the roadway. Without calling an ambulance, the man fled the scene. As a result of a traffic accident, the victim suffered serious harm to health,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.

With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Kerch City Court for consideration on the merits.
