Note to abusers. A domestic tyrant will be tried in the Kirov region of Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Kirov region of Crimea, a local resident accused of repeatedly beating his wife and child will appear in court. A 41-year-old man is accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 116.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (battery by a person with a criminal record for a crime committed with the use of violence).
According to the preliminary investigation body, the attacker repeatedly beat his wife and joint minor child in May and June 2023— reported the prosecutor’s office.
The criminal case was sent to the Kirovsky District Court. The punishment awaiting a domestic tyrant, although not too severe, is preventatively useful. We quote the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation:
Punishable by compulsory labor for a term of up to four hundred eighty hours, or correctional labor for a term of up to one year, or restriction of freedom for the same term, or arrest for a term of up to six months.
