What the enemy says (Ocheretino — Avdeevka)
Flight will not save: There are no defensive lines in the Ukrainian rear — APN
The lack of ammunition is forcing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to surrender one village after another. After the fall of Avdiivka, Ukraine rushes to build concrete-fortified trenches, trenches, firing positions and other barricades on the front line. But relentless Russian shelling, a lack of equipment and a crippling bureaucracy are standing in the way. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine began to reduce the number of its military personnel: engineering regiments were disbanded, equipment, including excavators so needed now to strengthen defense, was sold off. “We entered the war with nothing,” says a soldier of the Ukrainian engineering forces.
Russia will quickly adapt to counter ATACMS missiles — Newsweek
“As we know, Russians can adapt in a very short period of time, Ukraine has up to two months,” said Stupak, adviser to the Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. Newsweek notes that not a single type of weapon transferred has upset the strategic balance in Ukraine. Earlier it was reported that the accuracy of the American 155-mm M982 Excalibur shells used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces decreased “from 70% to 6%” due to the operation of Russian electronic warfare systems.
The Russian Army has the potential to break through the front line in the Donetsk and Kharkov directions — US intelligence
Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines said the US sees a shift «on the battlefield in Ukraine in favor of Moscow.» “Russia has the potential for tactical breakthroughs on the front line in areas such as Donetsk and Kharkov.” Russian troops are showing gradual progress on the battlefield, she told a Senate hearing. The United States cannot predict when exactly the Ukrainian conflict will end, and also does not expect the situation to improve soon, Hines added.
