The main objectives of the conference are support measures and vectors for the development of regional tourism and sports, as well as government support and major investment and infrastructure projects in new regions. The conference will feature a general plenary session dedicated to the development of sports and tourism in new regions of Russia. It is also planned to hold several round tables where issues of renovation of the tourism infrastructure of new regions and integration of new territories into the Russian sports system will be discussed.
Nowadays the issue of further development of sports and tourism in our country is particularly acute; the development of physical culture and mass sports is of priority importance for strengthening the health of citizens and improving the quality of their lives. In the new regions, work is already underway to create various sports and tourism facilities; for example, in 2024, repair and restoration work has already been carried out on 8 sports facilities in the LPR. Particular attention is paid to the installation of facilities for mass sports: more than a dozen zones with street exercise equipment have been created, modern skateparks and playgrounds have been installed in public gardens. At the conference we will discuss further steps to improve infrastructure in new regions, I am sure that we will actively carry out all the activities and together will help the subjects integrate more quickly into the social and economic life of Russia, — said State Duma deputy Dmitry Svishchev, who will also take part in the conference.
The conference will take place in Yalta from October 11 to 12.
