Official: 6.5 billion rubles have been allocated to maintain preferential rates on rural mortgages

The Cabinet of Ministers will additionally allocate 6.5 billion rubles for preferential loans for village residents, including rural mortgages. The Izvestia newspaper reports this with reference to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. As the Ministry of Agriculture explained, the amount in question will be used to maintain the preferential rate on previously taken loans.

The allocation of additional funds for issuing new loans for rural mortgages this year is being worked out, the department said.

The owner of the Lazovsky House construction company, Maxim Lazovsky, believes that demand for this program will only grow if there is parallel development of rural infrastructure. He stated this in a conversation with a Tsian.Zhurnal correspondent.

According to Maxim Lazovsky, rural mortgages have not had a serious impact on the prices of individual housing construction and will not have in the future.

The founder of the construction company HalleHouse, Vyacheslav Kotlov, shares a similar point of view.

Rural mortgages do not greatly affect the price level, since metropolitan regions are not involved in it. Prices will likely rise due to the mandatory introduction of escrow and difficulties with the acceptance of houses, including due to consumer extremism. For example, a week ago, Dom.RF stated that in a controversial case, 80% of the amount could be disclosed when the house is accepted by an independent expert, even if the client disagrees. But there remains another 20%, and these are risks. They will be included in the price“, the developer summarized.
