Official: Crimeans whose property was damaged by the disaster will receive compensation payments

The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, announced the payment of compensation to citizens whose property was damaged due to bad weather. He clarified that the amount of payment will depend on the degree of destruction.
Financial assistance per person will range from 100 thousand rubles in case of complete loss of property, 50 thousand rubles in case of partial loss. Persons whose living conditions are impaired will receive a one-time payment of 10 thousand rubles. Owners of residential buildings and residential premises in apartment buildings will receive 7 thousand rubles per square meter for the restoration and repair of housing.
Sergei Aksyonov said that after the walk-through and assessment of the damage is completed, decisions will be made on the payment of compensation.
We plan to complete the inspection of households by the end of the week, and inspection of large objects, including embankments and social facilities, may take longer. We will begin repairs immediately, without waiting for federal funds. Starting next week, we will begin to carry out work at the expense of the republican budget, and subsequently we will request compensationsaid the Head of Crimea.
The Head of the Republic emphasized that on the eve of winter it is necessary to quickly repair roofs, restore electricity and water supplies and eliminate flooding.
