Official: over 9 months of 2024, more than 5.2 million tourists visited Crimea

In January–September 2024, the tourist flow to the Republic of Crimea amounted to more than 5.2 million people, which is 20% higher than the level of the same period in 2023. The Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov informed about this in his Telegram channel.
Sergei Aksyonov clarified that about 65% of tourists arrived via the Crimean Bridge by car and bus, more than 24% by rail, and about 11% through the historical regions of Russia.
Meanwhile, almost half of the vacationers chose the southern coast, about 25% — the western, over 15% — the eastern, about 11% — other regions of the republic, namely: Simferopol, Simferopol and Bakhchisaray districts.
Along with this, the average occupancy of collective accommodation facilities in September exceeded 52%, which is 42% higher than the same period in 2023.
According to estimates of tour operators working in the Crimean direction, Crimea continues to be the fastest growing holiday destination in comparison to last year even during the high season. Bookings are actively underway for the New Year holidays, as well as for the summer season of 2025said the Head of Crimea.
In the autumn-winter period, the most popular in the republic are sanatorium-resort recreation and recovery, climatic therapy, walking, gastronomic and cultural tourism.
